Come with us to explore east Kenya’s most active national parks on this 4-day adventure. These are ancient landscapes filled with wildlife and stunning savannah. You’re guaranteed to see immense herds of elephants, but you’ll be on safari for lions, leopard, buffalo, zebra, and giraffe, all in their natural habitat.
The two Tsavo Parks are the largest and oldest in Kenya, hosting countless grazers, hunters, and birdlife. Amboseli Park, by comparison, is smaller but with a dense concentration of both large and small mammals.

Meal Plan: Lunch, Dinner
Make these parks your safari destination for an unforgettable vacation. Just let us know if you have any special requests.
Lady M Safaris will pick you up early morning to begin your journey on the Nairobi/Mombasa Highway. We’ll traverse the rich African countryside teeming with small farms and punctuated with the bright colors of Maasai herders along the way.
Safari
Few parks can guarantee sights of a particular animal – not so at Amboseli. This is the best spot to see free-ranging elephants up close… guaranteed. Framing these regal creatures is the towering backdrop of Mt. Kilimanjaro. You’ll enjoy Africa’s best views of its snowy peak, weather permitting, in the early morning and late afternoon.
The vegetation can be sparse at Amboseli, but that only offers more opportunities to spot other wildlife in the park like buffalo, wildebeest, impala, hyena, giraffe, and zebra. And you have a good chance of seeing a lion and cheetah.
If birdlife is your fancy, at the park’s marshes and lakes, you’ll be treated to a rich avian display of pelicans, kingfishers, egrets, herons and more.
Overnight
After a full day of game drives, you’ll have dinner at the lodge or tented campground of your choice.
Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch, dinner
After breakfast we’ll continue our adventure with another game drive and perhaps (weather permitting) sightings of snow-capped Mt. Kilimanjaro. This towering massif is a stunning backdrop to the wildlife in the park.
We will also venture up to the vantage point of Observation Hill for views of the park’s plains, marshes and the wildlife inhabiting them.
If you’d like to learn about the local Maasai people, we offer an optional visit to a nearby village where you can meet them, learn about their unique herding culture, and perhaps purchase some of their colourful crafts.
Now it’s time to move on to our other park, Tsavo West.
There are so many pleasing aspects to this famous park – the variety of landscapes, the colours of desert and sky, and the many species of animals roaming its hills and oases.
Overnight
Dinner and relax at the accommodation of your choice in your Tsavo west safari lodge/ tented camp.
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch,dinner
We’ll start the day with breakfast and a game drive, heading toward Mzima Springs. As we pass from the dry plains to the sudden green vegetation of the springs, you may be startled by the dramatic shift in landscape and wildlife.
This cool watering hole presents a new cast of wildlife – hippo, crocodile, and lots and lots of birds – skimmers, goshawks, ostriches, kingfishers, herons and more. This park never fails to amaze, but now it’s time to head to our next adventure, Tsavo East National Park.
As we traverse from park to park, you’ll have more opportunities for game watching.
This park is big – Kenya’s largest. And the red-dust soil lining the plains here is unique, not just in appearance but in how the inhabitants use it. The elephants love to roll in the soil, creating a dusky red coat on their hides. You’ll notice this colorful addition as you see them lumbering along.
Be sure to visit the Aruba Dam situated on the Voi River. This attractive man-made structure is a draw for the park’s wildlife, which take sustenance from its waters. It’s also a wonderful viewing spot for you.
Overnight
Dinner and overnight at safari lodge or tented camp of your choice.
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch.
We’re up early with the rising sun and the first stirring of the animals! This is the best way to view the awakening savannah and wildlife as it emerges into the new day. Be ready for the adventure of the “hunt”.
After this first game drive, we’ll be hunting for a hearty safari breakfast at our accommodation.
Later, we’ll check out from our lodge, but the animal spotting isn’t over. We’ll go for a final game drive as we depart the park. We may see the Aruba Dam and Mudanda Rock, two well-known watering holes, where thousands of animals come to drink.
On our journey back to the coast, we’ll stop for lunch at an open-air, rustic restaurant with dramatic vistas of the Tsavo East plains.
Drop Off
In the late afternoon light, we’ll head back to the Kenya Coast. We’ll bring you back to your beach resort.
