Tour Plan

Day 01 Starting Diani/Mombasa Beach>>Tsavo East National Park

Meal Plan: Lunch, Dinner

Your driver/guide will pick you up early from your Kenya coast beach resort or hotel in a 4 x 4 Jeep for your safari journey.

We’ll head out on the Mombasa-Nairobi Highway, also known as the Early Explorer’s route to Tsavo East National Park.

Safari

Upon arriving at Tsavo East, you’ll notice that the park is big, wild, and rugged. There are endless grasslands and savannah – a true wilderness. Look for lions, leopard, cheetah, buffalo, plus giraffes nibbling at the treetops.

The park is dry which makes it easier to spot the game. We’ll visit the Aruba Dam, a man-made structure but a natural watering hole for the wildlife. Great herds of animals and flocks of birds are drawn to the running waters here for their sustenance.

During your African Safari, your driver/guide is your host, expert, and friend, showing you the best of these natural wonders. Any questions or concerns just let him know.

The afternoon shall be spent on game viewing drives in search of more wildlife species.

Tsavo East is expansive, game viewing drives are long and rewarding.

Overnight

You’ll spend the night here at Tsavo East at your choice of safari lodge or tented camp.

Day 2 Safari Tsavo East National Park >> Amboseli National Park (300km – Approx. 5-6 hrs)

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Now that we’re on safari, let’s make the most of our adventure and get up with the birds and enjoy a glorious African sunrise. This is a special time of day in nature when the night burns off and the wildlife begins to stir.

We’ll start with an early morning game drive looking for elephant, zebra, eland, and impala… and whoever else we may come across.

Later, we’ll head out for Amboseli Park, with more game viewing possible along the way.

Heading for Amboseli, look for the signature peak of Mt. Kilimanjaro as your beacon to the park. Amboseli lies at the foot of Africa’s tallest mountain.

The herds of elephants are so plentiful here, you are guaranteed sightings of these majestic creatures. The wildlife spotting at Amboseli is diverse and plentiful.

While at the reserve, if you wish, you can take an optional visit to meet the local Maasai in a nearby village. See their lifestyle, their culture, and their handicrafts. Just ask your guide to decide.

Toward evening the cloud cover, sometimes obscuring Kilimanjaro’s snowy summit may burn off displaying one of Africa’s most beautiful sights.

Overnight

You’ll spend your final safari night at Amboseli at either your safari lodge or tented camp.

Day 03 Amboseli National Park >> Nairobi Hotel/Airport (250 km: Approx. 4hrs)

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch

If we get up early, we may catch a clear view of Kilimanjaro’s snowy summit. And we will see the sunrise lighting up the fields and bush of Amboseli as the park comes to life.

At breakfast, we’ll take in all this natural wonder that few have had the good fortune to witness.

We’ll fit in an extra mid-morning game drive looking for any animals that have so far eluded our search. Check Amboseli’s plains for signs of cheetah, wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, hyena, foxes, monkey, and baboon.

After lunch, as we depart the park, we’ll enjoy one final game drive before heading out on the highway to Nairobi.

We should arrive in Nairobi in the late afternoon.

Drop off.

What a trek we just made across Kenya, from the coast to the capital, by way of two active national parks.

We’ll drop you off at your hotel, residence, or the airport.
